Posso Tower is an early to mid 16th century stone rectangular tower house, founded by the Bairds of Posso. At the north-west corner of the site, the tower stands to the height of its choked basement, with its west wall a storey higher. Immediately to the south but apparently detached from the tower are the turf-covered walls of a rectangular building and to the east is a large range of out-buildings. A possible small stair-tower projects from the centre of the range but the walls are only foundations, apart from its two storey south gable wall. South from the complex, up to the Tower Burn are traces of earthworks, which are possibly the remains of orchards and gardens. 2 miles north is Castlehill Tower.
